Author: The Marchesa Casati’s biographers Scot and Michael had mentioned recently that something really amazingly exciting was to be unveiled this year. Here it is. I am DYING to get my hands on this…..This is what i have always hoped and waited for but never thought would ever be made… Scot and Michael have really done an amazing job in getting La Casati’s name the recognition and interest she deserved. I remember when the book first came out and NOBODY knew who she was and now look at this! Amazing….Those two are brilliant and i am so excited for them and to read about all their new Casati discoveries…
In autumn 2009, prestigious art book publisher Abrams will release The Marchesa Casati: Portraits of a Muse. This lavish, coffee-table book will feature a completely new text written by official Casati biographers Ryersson and Yaccarino, diamond-studded with their latest research discoveries. Furthermore, it will contain more than two hundred spectacular images of the Marchesa–from the most significant masterpieces to private family photographs and never-before-seen artworks, and even those by contemporary artists still honoring her continuing legacy today.
